As the Founder of Shimmy Technologies and a Visiting Fellow at Cornell University’s ILR School, Sarah bridges research and real-world application.
The digital tools she and her team create at Shimmy have helped thousands of industrial workers—many of them women—gain the skills they need to stay relevant as automation changes factory work and interrupts livelihoods. Those skills have translated into promotions, new higher paying jobs in tough labor markets, and families’ abilities to pay off crippling debt.
A sought-after public speaker, her work lives at the intersection of just transition strategy, human-centered design, digital transformation, supply chain resilience, and equitable future of work.

Eco Materials Advisor
A CAD plug-in I created at Autodesk that helped industrial designers and mechanical engineers explore materials with less downstream environmental impact like carbon footprints, water footprints, and the cost implications. My first piece of software!
