Inspired by Lew Aron’s legendary reading groups, the Reading Room is a place for connection and mutual learning.

Part salon, part strategy circle—Reading Rooms are designed to help white papers live beyond proof points in the footnotes section.

    Just Transitions

    Currently Accepting Readers!

    A monthly gathering for practitioners.

Each session centers on a single reading—typically under 40 pages—that helps us revisit, reframe, or reimagine the evolving concept of “just transition.” Whether it’s a white paper, story, or case study, we choose materials we can really dig into, reflect on together, and ideally act on in some way. Though the term “just transitions” has been around for over 30 years, it’s entering the mainstream with new urgency and complexity.

I’m currently accepting applications for the next cohort, aiming for a cross-section of perspectives: policy, workforce, city planners, philanthropy, organizing, design, business, and more. I ask applicants to be able to commit to attending monthly sessions regularly from September 2025 through March 2026.
